Hamm to Head Marketing for Medical Dermatology

GREENSBORO, NC, November 17, 2008 – Steve Hamm, formerly of Glaxo Dermatology, has joined Merz Pharmaceuticals, LLC as Senior Director of Marketing for Medical Dermatology.

A 23-year veteran of the pharmaceutical industry, Hamm’s experience includes working with large and small pharmaceutical companies as well as a start-up biotechnology company. His experience in all phases of market commercialization and product life cycle management will help Merz to leverage opportunities with its current products as well as expand its future medical dermatology portfolio.  

Hamm spent 10 years in progressive sales and marketing positions with Glaxo’s Dermatology division, working with prescription steroid products, including Temovate^®, Cutivate^®, and Aclovate^®. He was also involved in the marketing of Lamictal^® for Bipolar Disorder during his tenure with the company.

Hamm also spent five years marketing products for central nervous system (CNS) disorders. He was Director of Global Marketing for Neupro^®, a Schwarz Pharma product for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, and also served as Director of Marketing for Voyager Pharmaceutical, a biotechnology company involved in the development of VP4896 for Alzheimer’s disease.
